Young Person’s Recovery Service
Supporting 16-24 year olds in Glasgow affected by alcohol or drug use—whether it is your own experience or within your family.
Our approach is person-centred because every young person’s journey is unique. We can help you:
Build confidence and resilience in recovery
Access training, education or volunteering opportunities
Find and prepare for employment
Set goals and take steps toward a positive future
You will be matched with a Recovery Coach or Employment Advisor who will support you through one-to-one sessions. Together, you will decide what you want to achieve and how we can help you get there.

Our service is open to anyone aged 16-24 in Glasgow who:
Receives support from Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services (ADRS)
Has a parent, guardian or carer engaging with ADRS
Receives support from Community Care or Aftercare Teams or are accessing the Youth Health Service

Our Young Person’s Recovery Service offers friendly, person-centred, one-to-one support designed to help you progress in your recovery while moving closer to education, training and employment.
After a confidential conversation to understand your needs and goals, you will be matched with the right mentor to support your journey: either a Recovery Coach or an Employment Advisor.

Our Recovery Coaches provide community-based, personalised support to help you build confidence, resilience and wellbeing as you work towards your life and recovery goals. They can meet you wherever you feel most comfortable and offer practical and emotional guidance tailored to you.
They can support you with:
Navigating your recovery and boosting your overall wellbeing
Building confidence by recognising your strengths and developing new skills
Personal development through setting achievable goals and creating positive routines
Accessing training and education opportunities that fit your interests
Preparing for employment by taking gradual steps toward work
Their holistic approach is focused on empowering you to regain independence and motivation for meaningful progress.

If you’ are ready to move more quickly toward work, our Employment Advisors specialise in helping you find and secure employment suited to your skills and interests.
They provide tailored, practical support with:
Finding job opportunities that match your abilities and goals
Job searching and completing applications, including online forms
Building professional CVs and cover letters that make you stand out
Preparing for interviews to boost your confidence and performance
Ongoing support once you start a new job to help ensure success
Our Employment Advisors are committed to helping you succeed in work while feeling confident and supported every step of the way.
