Morag provides expert guidance to our managers on policies, processes and compliance with employment law. She is responsible for developing and implementing HR guidance, advising the senior management team on all people-related decisions and ensuring staff wellbeing – something she sees as especially vital within the third sector.

With a background in retail management and a law degree, Morag retrained in HR later in life. She joined Murray’s Initiative after the birth of her son, seeking an organisation whose values aligned with her own and quickly found pride in contributing to work that makes a real difference in people’s lives.

Morag is passionate about creating an environment where staff feel empowered, managers are supported and volunteers are valued. She takes pride in introducing new systems, delivering training and equipping managers with the tools they need to succeed.
