Head of Client Services & Depute CEO

Susan oversees Murray’s Initiative’s counselling services across Glasgow and Clyde, as well as the Alcohol Brief Intervention programme, U-Turn Peer Education, and the Training & Development team. She also leads on IT management and supports the CEO in driving both the operational and strategic goals of the organisation.

Susan is most passionate about delivering person-centred services that make a genuine difference in people’s lives. She takes great pride in supporting staff and volunteers who provide empathetic, professional and life-changing support to those affected by alcohol, drugs and mental health challenges.

After earning a BSc (Hons) in Food Science, Susan began her career in retail management before retraining in Information Technology. She worked in data and IT management within the private sector before joining Murray’s Initiative (then GCA) as Data Manager. Since then, she has progressed through a series of leadership roles.

Susan remains proud to be part of an organisation rooted in kindness and empathy. She is committed to supporting staff and volunteers with the same warmth and encouragement that welcomed her when she first joined the organisation.
